Ann Arbor, MI – 95 Miles
August 2, 2010
Day number two in Michigan, and we really do feel welcome here. Today we were given a T-shirt for our tour of Michigan, and a letter written by one of last year’s team member. We of course had to continue that tradition by writing a letter ourselves to next years team. We ended our day with dinner and a dance at the Eisenhower Center, which helps adults recover as best as possible from traumatic head injuries. The dance was supposed to be a western theme, which I thought meant square dancing, or line dancing, but it turned out to be a lot of club style music. Not much of a club dancer, I found a game of chess going on in the corner. I took the next game and lost pretty badly. In my defense, I was never really that good at chess, and I haven’t played it in about 5 years.
