Delta, UT – 100 Miles (minus 10 from construction)

Today was supposed to be 100 miles, but in the middle of the ride we came across some fresh tar. We found out that it wasn’t safe to ride on, so we had to rack the bikes up into the vans and jump forward 10 miles to where it was safe again. So our ride was only 90 miles in the end, but they were still hard miles! We also lost an hour today due to the time change, so it seemed like the day was a little shorter than usual. We arrived to find ourselves at one of the nicest high schools I’ve ever seen. For the first time in days, showers were actually at lodging, which was a very nice surprise. We were supposed to have dinner with a local group, but for some reason, we couldn’t get in touch with them, and ended up ordering pizza, and staying in for the night. It was a very relaxing evening.
